knit inspirations

ridiculously ridiculously inspiring is all i can say - those clever people over at flocks

of all the things on their site, i love their urchin pouffs the most.

the pouffs are handknitted - i'm wondering what massive needles are used (or am i being very naive and no such needles actually exist?) - all i can say is, one of these would look very at home in my home...

I love these too. I'm intrigued by how hard the yarn looks; these look as if they really could be used as furniture and withstand the use. Sometimes this kind of knitting isn't entirely practical, but these could be.

oooh, these are a bit blinkin gorgeous! They would make perfect foot stools.
I have seen giant needles before, but I thought they were just props!!

Wooden broom handles sharpened at one end - I've see these used as large needles. Very tiring on the hands.
