new on strikk

in case you didn't know, its absolutely freezing here in london at the moment. although must admit, after sunday's walk on hampstead heath, london looked very pretty!

but snow and cold equals lots of time to knit and keep cozy, so this weekend past was no exception - in fact, managed to finish off three new cushion designs, the first of which is as a result of yarn i picked up whilst in cape town.

loving the marled effect - i'm always a little nervous when i see yarn that has some colouring effect - not sure why, but these cushions actually turned out not too bad. also, this is such a super soft yarn - a wool and cotton blend (a little difficult to knit with as it does split sometimes) but still very yummy.
